Tripura Pradesh BJP President Rajib Bhattacharjee criticized the Congress party on Friday, stating that except for a few leaders, there would be no one left to represent the party in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
At a large joining event, BJP leaders welcomed over 600 voters, including former Chairman of Tripura Pradesh Minority Department Joydul Hossain, AICC Member Ratan Das, and AICC Minority Department Coordinator Jamesh Haque, who left the Congress to join the BJP.
The BJP President addressed the media, expressing happiness over former Congress workers joining the BJP.
He emphasized the BJP’s goal of making Tripura the best state, mentioning their support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Bhattacharjee said, “During the CPIM tenure, Congress workers faced several attacks, murder and torture.
Now, both parties have come together and contested the 2023 Assembly election just for the personal benefits of some Congress party leaders.”
