Birsa Munda’s birthday was celebrated in the state of Tripura like other states on Wednesday with due dignity as Janjati Gaurab Divas.

The day is celebrated with various events.
As a part of the Janjati Gaurav Divas celebrations in the state, the three-day Janjati Gaurav Divas started on Wednesday at Swami Vivekananda Maidan, Agartala, on the initiative of the Tribal Welfare Department of the state government.

Minister of Tribal Welfare Department Bikash Debbarma, State Cooperative Minister Shukla Charan Noatia and others were present on the opening day.

The two ministers Bikash Debbarma and Shukla Charan Noatia and other dignitaries paid tribute to Birsa Munda’s portrait.

Stalls of various departments of the state government have been opened and the culture of the people has also been highlighted in this three-day long festival.
