A worker of Agartala Municipal Corporation was injured in the Dashamighat area while handling the immersion of Durga idols on Thursday.

It is to be noted that several AMC workers were deployed to manage the crowd and immersion activities on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami so that everything could be done in a disciplined manner.

However, an AMC staff member was severely injured due to the heavy rush of people in the Dashamighat area, as he was pushed under the steel barricades that was placed to control the crowd.

Meanwhile, he was rescued quickly by other AMC workers and other people. They pulled out the injured person and sent him to GBP hospital for treatment.

Currently, the person is under treatment in GBP Hospital.
