President Droupadi Murmu is likely to arrive at Agartala on October 12 for a two-day Tripura visit to inaugurate various development projects in the state.

An official said that DGP Amitabh Ranjan held a high-level preparatory meeting on Friday regarding various security arrangements for the proposed visit of the President.
He added that the decision on security arrangements will be finalised once details of President’s tour programme is received.
It will be Murmu’s first visit to Tripura as the President of India.

She would probably arrive at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport on October 12.
The source further revealed that Agartala Mayor Dipak Majumder is likely to give a civic reception to President Murmu at Town Hall.
As per plan, Chief Minister Manik Saha and his cabinet colleagues are expected to be present in the programme.

On October 13, the President would visit Udaipur to offer prayers to Maa Tripureswari.
She is expected to inaugurate some development projects, including Tripura Judicial Academy.
