Bishalgarh, Jan 7: An incident involving vandalism of a BSF vehicle and an attack on BSF personnel was reported at the Bishalgarh New Market cattle market on November 7.

Following the incident, the Border Security Force (BSF) lodged a case at the Bishalgarh police station.

In connection with the case, two of the accused were arrested earlier and, after being produced before the court, were remanded to judicial custody. The third accused, identified as Riyaz Mia, had been absconding since the incident.

Acting on a tip-off, Bishalgarh police arrested Riyaz Mia late Monday night from the Durganagar Hasan Hossain Para area. The accused was produced before the Bishalgarh court on Tuesday afternoon.

Addressing a press conference at the police station, Officer-in-Charge Bijoy Das said efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining accused, and they are expected to be arrested soon.
