In view of specific complaints about food safety, the enforcement team of the Food Department sealed ‘Cake Plaza’ shop of RMS Choumuhni in the capital on Monday afternoon.

At the same time, a legal notice has been issued against the owner of this shop. Allegations against Cake Plaza for selling expired food including underweight and using expired chemicals to make cakes.

A few more shops were raided on this day. There are also many irregularities. In this case too, the concerned officers took strict action. They said that these reports will be brought to the attention of the Sadar SDM. Later some more legal measures will be taken.
