But now it is going to be end soon as the newly elected Mayor of AMC Dipak Majumder assured the press that soon dismantling and clearance drive would be conducted by the task force of AMC and would again include those spots under the control of AMC.

After a long time, the bamboo market and illegal auto stand adjacent to Battala Jaharbridge are going to be vacated.

This will speed up the development work of the Smart City project. This was stated by Mayor Deepak Majumder after inspecting the area on Wednesday.

He said the bamboo market and the auto stand would be vacated soon. It is to be noted that bamboo market and auto stand have been illegally built there by filling the creek of Howrah river adjacent to Battala.

Due to which the course of the river has changed and the water of Howrah river was swelling with a little rain. In this situation, environmental experts think that it is very important to remove the bamboo market and auto stand for the reform of Howrah.

However, other drives of the AMC are also going in different parts of the city to clear illegally occupied lands and spaces.

Experts are believing that after holding the chair of AMC Mayor, Dipak Majumder has boosted the works and modus operandi of AMC. Infact, Mr. Mayor is working with a vision of making AMC the greatest city of the North East India.
