Finance Minister Pranjit Singhara released the money at a smart training center at the headquarters of the Information and Technology Department.
According to the project, students of different government colleges were given Rs 5,000 for buying smartphones in the 2022-20 academic year.
The Government of Tripura is committed to supporting eligible undergraduate students across the state by providing a ₹5000 grant for smartphones, promoting digital education and adaptability.
“I had the opportunity to attend the fund release program for the ‘Mukhyamantri Yuba Yogayog Yojana (Special) Scheme’ for the academic year 2022-23 at IT Bhavan today, in the presence of the Director of IT, dignitaries, and students” Says Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy
Through this scheme, 10,556 applications from 38 government colleges have been approved, with a total of ₹5,27,80,000 allocated to benefit these students.
