Alongside the entire nation, Tripura and other Northeastern states are developingequally: Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has placed special emphasis on the development of the Northeastern region. As a result, the Northeastern states are advancing on similar footing with other parts of the country. Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. L.. Murugan, made this statement yesterday at a press conference held at the Bilonia Circuit House in South Tripura.

He mentioned that since Narendra Modi assumed the office of Prime Minister in 2014, there has been a significant improvement in road, rail, and air connectivity in the Northeastern states. To further accelerate development. in the region, Union Ministers are regularly visiting the seven Northeastern states. During these visits, they review the progress of flagship programs, agriculture, health, education, and various rural development projects. If any problems are found, steps are taken to resolve them. Dr. Murugan said that, inspired by the philosophy of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas Tripura and other Northeastern states are moving forward in parallel with the rest of the country in development activities

Dr. Murugan also said that a student from a government school in South Tripura topped the state in this year’s CBSE board exams a matter of pride for the entire district. He further informed that under the One District, Oneproduct scheme, a cashew nut cultivation project has been undertaken for the development of rural areas in South Tripura. Moreover, significant initiatives have been taken for the development of the state’s bamboo, rubber, and tea industries Ile added that both the central and state governments are working tirelessly to increase employment and create job opportunities. Schemes like Kisan Samman Nidhi, Crop Insurance Scheme, Kisan Health Card, and others are showing the direction to the farmers.

Through the formation of self-help groups, the central government is actively working on women’s empowerment, resulting in the rise of numerous “LakhpatiDidis” across the country.

The Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting said that in the first phase of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 97 pereent houses in South Tripura district have been completed. In the coming days, approvals for house construction in the second phase will be granted. He highly praised the state government for the significant development works done in the fields of health, education, electricity, drinking water, agriculture, and irrigation in the South Tripura district. He emphasized that everyone must work with a sense of social responsibility. Also present at the press conference were Co-operation Minister Shuklacharan Noatia, South Tripura Zilla Parishad Chairman Deepak Dutta, South Tripura District Magistrate and Collector Mohammad Sajjad P., among others. At the beginning of the press conference, South Tripura district administration and the education department jointly felicitated Suraj Basu, a student of Bilonia Government English Medium Higher Secondary School, for securing the top position in the state in this year’s CBSE secondary examination by scoring 496 marks. Besides the press conference, Union Minister of State Dr. L. Murugan also participated in a Tiranga Rally which started from Kalinagar Motor Stand, traversed various routes, and concluded at the same place
