Various plans are being implemented for the development of the tourism industry in the state. A modern recreational park is being planned in the Sachindranagar area of Jirania. This park will be modeled after Nicco Park in Kolkata. Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury mentioned this yesterday in a meeting held at the Jirania SDM office conference hall regarding the proposed park

In the meeting, Tourism Minister stated that once the recreational park is established in the Sachindranagar area, it will create employment opportunities for the local people. It will lead to the expansion of local trade and commerce, resulting in the area’s economic growth. With a positive and open mindset, Tourism minister appealed to landowners to allow the use of land for the proposed park. He informed that the park would be built with financial assistance from both the central and state governments.

Among others present in the meeting were Jirania Panchayat Samiti Chairman Pritam Debnath, Jirania Nagar Panchayat Chairperson Ratan Kumar Das, Ranirbazar Municipal Council Vice-Chairperson Prabir Kumar Das, West Tripura Zilla Parishad member Shibayan Das, Tourism Department MD Prashanta Badal Negi, Joint Director Aniruddh Roy, SDM Shantiranjan Chakma, Additional SDM Animesh Dhar, Social workers Ranjit Roy Chowdhury, Partha Sarathi Saha, Shyamal Debnath, Gouranga Bhowmik, and the land donors for the proposed park.
