The Association of Cleaning Workers of Agartala Municipal Corporation submitted a five-point charter of demands to Dipak Majumder, the Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation on Wednesday.
Regularisation of various irregular employees of AMC including cleaning workers is one of the key demands.
Cleaning employees also demanded a fixed salary of Rs 20 thousand.
Further, financial assistance to families along with employment of one of the family members was demanded in case AMC’s cleaning workers die accidentally.
