Biplab Deb left for Delhi; to discuss future strategy

The former Chief Minister of Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb has left for Delhi today on invitation of senior BJP leaders.

Sources revealed that senior leaders will consult him and decide his future role.

The situation was created when the popular Chief Minister resigned just a month before by-election without any reason.

On the one hand, the party is facing the anger of the public of the state due to the delaying appointment of Mr. Deb as the President.

Therefore, party senior leaders has called Deb in Delhi to discuss future strategy.

The prestige of the Tripura BJP as well as High command is at stake in the assembly by-elections of 4 seats being held as semi-finals before the assembly elections 2023.

The popularity of the former CM is not reduced even after stepping down from the CM’s chair. He is still the most popular leader in Tripura.

It implies that if Biplab Deb is not fielded in the campaign on all the seats, then it may be difficult for the BJP to secure a whitewash win.

It is the reason for which the top leaders of the party have called Biplab Deb to Delhi and discuss with him his future role.

The party high command is hopeful with him to win all seats in the by-elections by making him the main face of the party.

Ex CM might also be used as the main face for the 2023 elections. Otherwise, the path of BJP in the Tripura may become very difficult without him.
