Tripura BJP has formed an election management committee in view of the upcoming assembly elections 2023.
The 16-member committee is headed by state president Rajib Bhattacharjee.
The committee consists of one special member and 3 special invitee members.
The members of the full committee are BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharjee, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Rajya Sabha MP and former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma, Union State Minister Smt. Pratima Bhowmik, Minister Ratanlal Nath and Bhagwan Chandra Das, Organisational General Secretary Phanindra Nath Sharma, MP Rebati Tripura, and three General Secretaries namely Tinku Roy, Papiya Dutta and Kishore Barman.
Mahila Morcha President Jharna Debbarma is a special member and Special invited members include NorthEast coordinator Sambit Patra, State Secretary Rituraj Sinha and Pradesh Prabhari Dr. Mahesh Sharma.
According to sources, B L Santosh is coming to Tripura this month.
Amit Shah is coming to Guwahati today and Chief Minister Dr. Saha is going to Guwahati on the call of Shah.
NorthEast Coordinator Sambit Patra is also coming to the state and scheduled to migrate to the state.
After the end of Durgotsava, the ruling party BJP aimed to capture power by any means in 2023.
It is reported that the BJP high command has given importance on strengthening coordination between the party and the government.
Thus, Amit Shah himself might visit the state.
According to political experts, three rounds of state visit of B L Santosh within three months is sufficiently indicative.
Besides, it is heard that newly assigned state incharge Dr Mahesh Sharma has already submitted a report to the high command on the state BJP’s organisational situation.
