The BJP has declared that ‘Thanksgiving Rallies’ throughout Tripura on July 10 to celebrate the introduction of the ‘pro-people’ budget for the current financial year.
The budget proposal was put forth by Tripura Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy on Friday and incorporates initiatives aimed at benefiting marginalized sectors of society.
The budget allocated a total of Rs 27,654 crore, which seeks to address the needs of diverse segments of society, including students, youth, and employees.
At a press conference in Agartala, Tripura BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee praised the efforts of the state Finance minister and Chief Minister Manik Saha in presenting a people-centric budget
He highlighted the upcoming health insurance plan Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana-2023, which will provide annual health insurance coverage of up to Rs. 5 lakh to families who are not covered under Ayushman Bharat.
This scheme is modeled after the Central government’s Ayushman Bharat scheme.
He announced that thanksgiving rallies would be organized in all 8 districts to express gratitude for the budget, which aims to achieve the vision of “Ek Tripura Shrestha Tripura” (One Tripura, Best Tripura).
