On 29th March 2019, on specific information, the Special Ambush Party of BSF deployed at Kalsimura Border Out Post observed some unknown miscreants trying to smuggle some items over the Indo-Bangladesh Border fence from India to Bangladesh side.
On being challenged by the BSF party, the miscreants fled away from the spot. During thorough search of the area, BSF party recovered 1600 Nos Yaba Tablets worth Rs.8,00,000/- and 05 Kg of Ganja worth Rs.25,000/- from the spot. The seized contrabands were handed over to PS Kalamchera.
BSF has put on all efforts to restrict and stop the trans-border smuggling of contraband items including illegal drugs / Narcotics by applying all force multipliers to achieve the goal of a “Drug Free State” particularly in view of forthcoming General Parliamentary Elections-2019.
