CNG and PNG prices increased in Tripura; revised rates to take effect from May 27.

The TNGCL has announced a hike in the prices of CNG and PNG across Tripura following an increase in gas procurement costs. The revised rates will come into effect from May 27, according to a notification issued by the company on Tuesday.

As per the new rates, the price of CNG in West Tripura district has been increased from Rs 85.15 to Rs 87.15 per litre, while in Gomati district the price has gone up from Rs 89.95 to Rs 91.95 per litre.

The company has also increased the prices of PNG used in households, government quarters, commercial establishments and industrial sectors. In West Tripura, the domestic PNG price has been raised from Rs 44.41 to Rs 45.88.

The notification, signed by TNGCL Manager P. Bhattacharya, has triggered discussions among consumers over the impact of the price hike on daily expenses and transportation costs.
