Senior Regional Director of Health ministry of Govt of India Dr Satyajit sen, Dr Daisy Panna and Dr P.K Verma visited Dhalai District on monday.

They were accompanied by DM Dhalai Mr Mayur Ratilal Gowekar, CMO of Dhalai District Dr Chetan Debbarma and other higher officials of health department.

The team surveyed Covid care centres at Dhalai Polytechnic institute, Ambasssa Panchayat Raj Training Institute, Ambassa Bari Sb School and later Dhalai District Hospital.

Moreover work progress of 15 bed Dedicated Covid Care Centre at Ambassa PHC was also noticed.

The initiative of transforming Trauma centre of Dhalai Dstrict Hospital into ICU was also pressed on.

Later that day a meeting was held at conference hall of DM office.

MS of Dhalai Dstrict Hospital Dr Sagar Majumder proposed that at this situation of pandemic it should be assured that patients dont need to travel to agartala for treatment.

After the visit of central team it is expected that fight against the covid will catch pace.

After Dhalai visit the team left for khowai dstrict.

At the end of visit, the team expressed satisfaction over the management of covid 19 in the dstrict.
