Agartala, July 14: Today marked a historic and memorable day for the people of Tripura, as the foundation stone for the much-awaited 51 Shakti Peeth Park was laid at Banduar, near the sacred Matabari temple in Udaipur. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha officially inaugurated the project by performing the Bhoomi Puja and laying the foundation stone in the presence of officials, spiritual leaders, and devotees.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister said that the park would be a world-renowned spiritual tourism destination, attracting devotees and tourists from across the country and abroad. The park will feature replicas of all 51 Shakti Peeths, which, according to Hindu mythology, are the holy sites where the body parts of Goddess Sati, consort of Lord Shiva, fell.

Chief Minister Dr. Saha highlighted that this unique initiative is being undertaken with the blessings of Maa Tripura Sundari and under the guidance and inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for his continued efforts towards the development of the tourism sector in Tripura.
