Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha today virtually inaugurated five development projects and laid the foundation stones for six new projects in Gomati district at a programme held at Rajarshi Hall, Udaipur.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that the State Government has been placing special emphasis on infrastructure development across Tripura, as comprehensive development of the state is not possible without strengthening infrastructure. He stated that projects worth nearly 1,000 crore were inaugurated and launched across the state during the last financial year, while projects worth around 121 crore have already been inaugurated or initiated during the current financial year.

He reiterated the Government’s commitment to implementing development programmes with transparency and dedication from urban centres to rural areas.

The projects inaugurated by the Chief Minister included infrastructure development of Udaipur English Medium School at a cost of 27.82 crore, upgradation of Bhagini Nivedita English Medium School at a cost of ₹1.48 crore, construction of a synthetic football turf at Ramesh English Medium Higher Secondary School at a cost of ₹5.80 crore, and six staff quarters at the SDM Office Complex at a cost of ₹2.23 crore.

The foundation stones laid by the Chief Minister included a new four-storey building of Udaipur Sub-Divisional Hospital at a cost of ₹43.16 crore, infrastructure development of Haryananda English Medium Higher Secondary School at a cost of ₹14.74 crore, two Rural Development Department office buildings costing 10 crore, upgradation of the road from Gomati Yatrinibas to National Highway-8 at a cost of 24.71 crore, a Labour Department office building costing ₹3.09 crore, and a synthetic turf football ground at Kakraban Higher Secondary School at a cost of ₹6.72 crore.
