Classes from pre-primary to class VII are suspended until further orders

After considering, the health and wellbeing of the students minimizing learning losses due to disruption to regular classes preparing students for Board Examinations & competitive examinations for higher studies; and to continue vaccination of students against Covid in schools.

The Department of School Education has decided the following w.r.t. schools, which will come into effect from 17-01-2022 and be in 30/01/2022 :

In-person classes from pre-primary to class VII are suspended until further orders.

In-person classes from class VIII to XII will be held with 50% attendance in each class to ensure that every student gets to attend school once in two days.

Students will attend in-person classes based on the Parental consent, which is of prime importance keeping in mind the health concerns of the students. For the students of pre-primary to class VII, Directorate of Elementary Education shall again initiate “Ektu Khelo, Ektu Padhe” programme.

The SCERT will give special attention to classes. /programmes related to syllabus of class I to VII in Vande Tripura Channel. The facility of virtual classes to be extended to students from pre-primary to class VII, wherever feasible by the school. All the hostels will remain closed until further orders. However, any student requiring isolation, quarantine due to Covid-19, will be allowed to use the hostel.
