CM inaugurates first annual meeting of North Eastern Diabetes Society

Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the first annual meeting of North-Eastern Diabetes Society Tripura Chapter at Rabindra Shatabarshi Bhavan on Sunday.

While inaugurating the two-day meeting, he said, “Diabetes is a silent killer disease. Therefore, public awareness should be increased to avoid this disease. Changing lifestyle of people is also very necessary”.

CM further said that diabetes is a disease that needs proper treatment. He added, “Nowadays it is possible to prevent this disease due to improved health. Through the advancement of science, many methods have been discovered to protect people from diabetes”.

The Chief Minister said that diabetes is a disease that can make various parts of the human body useless. He added, “Everyone should be aware of the symptoms of diabetes.

Apart from developing a worry-free life, people should give importance to regular exercise, yoga and walking”.

CM Saha said that the number of diabetic patients is increasing continuously in the state.
He also said that the state government is working seriously to provide treatment services for diabetes related diseases in various health centers of Tripura, as the government is aimed to provide health services to the last person in the society.

The Chief Minister hoped that the knowledge of the doctors of the state will increase and the people of the state will benefit from this conference organized on the issues related to diabetes.
