Blood donation is the highest festival of life.
A blood donor cannot only save the life of one poor person by donating blood, but can save the life of three or four more people by separating blood.
Despite the shortage of blood due to the assembly elections, there is now a public awareness of voluntary blood donation.
Chief Minister Saha said the above while participating in 5 voluntary blood donation camps in Agartala on Sunday.
At each blood donation camp, the Chief Minister met with the blood donors and encouraged them.
Chief Minister said, “Blood has no religion, no caste, no gender. Donating blood reminds us that we are all one”.
He said, life is meaningful only if we can do something for people. Referring to the call for organ donation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 26 at Man Ki Baat, the Chief Minister said, “We have to come forward in this regard as well.”
The Chief Minister welcomed and congratulated the blood donors for their voluntary blood donation at every blood donation camp.
