The present government is trying to trace the history of the state. Similarly, efforts have been made to present the culture of the state to the world.
Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha said this while officially inaugurating the light and sound show at Ujjayanta Palace this evening.
He said historical places in the state are being renovated so that tourists from all over the country can come here and return with a better understanding of Tripura.
Terming the light and sound show as historic, he said, the glorious past of the state is being highlighted in this show.
Referring to the organization of the G-20 conference, the Chief Minister said that from tomorrow the representatives of different countries of the world are coming to the state to attend this conference.
Stating that organizing this international conference is a big event for the people of the state, the Chief Minister said that with the sincere efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, even a small state like Tripura has got the responsibility of organizing this international event.
Preparations for this have started since August last year. The chief minister said that the main objective of this conference is to highlight the culture of India to the whole world. One of its objectives is to further develop tourism.
