CM inaugurates Orchidarium at Oxygen Park, Shalbagan

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the Orchidarium at Oxygen Park in Shalbagan on Saturday afternoon.

It is to be noted that the Forest Department has built Oxygen Park in Shalbagan in 2021.
A new feather was added to the park on 1st April 2023 with the opening of the Orchidarium.

This state of art orchidarium has been developed with the aim of preserving and presenting the orchids in the state.

Inaugurating the orchidarium in Oxygen Park, Chief Minister Manik Saha said, “If you enjoy the beauty of this Oxygen Park, you can find the practicality of this park’s name. This oxygen park has been developed under the initiative of the state forest department, which is really admirable. Addition of this beautiful orchidarium will make the tourism sector of Tripura more attractive.”

He added that the orchidarium has 50 species of orchids out of which 20 species of orchids are from Tripura.

CM further said that the park also has different species of birds, plants and different species of bamboo.

The Chief Minister added, “Representatives of G-20 countries are visiting Tripura. Tourism, art, culture etc. of Tripura will be presented to them so that they are more attracted about Tripura.

The representatives of the G-20 summit will also come to this oxygen park.” CM said that they will also visit various tourist centers of the state.

Thus, the quality of Tripura’s tourism will be improved as well as Tripura’s tourism will be promoted globally. The Chief Minister expressed hope that Tripura’s tourism will improve in the future.
