The state government is working to improve the quality of socio-economic conditions of farmers.
For the welfare of farmers, the government is continuing its efforts to double the income of farmers.
Previously the average income of farmers was Rs 6,580 per capita, which is increased to Rs. 11,096 per capita.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said this while inaugurating a 1,000 metric ton capacity paddy warehouse built at a cost of 1 crore 25 lakh rupees.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister also said that the state government is working towards the implementation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s slogan “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sabka Biswas”.
He added that the government is determined to extend the benefits of government schemes to the most marginalized people in society.
Farmers of two blocks of Kumarghat sub-division will be benefited by the construction of this warehouse, which also fulfilled the long-standing demands of the farmers of the subdivision.
CM said that lemon, pineapple and tamarind produced by the farmers of the state are now being exported abroad.
The government buys paddies from the farmers every year at a subsidized price.
CM further said that various government assistance is reaching the common people directly through the ‘Prati Ghare Sushasan’ program and the duration of this program will be extended till December 25.
