A high-level review meeting on the present condition of National Highways in the state under NHIDCL and Department of Works was held on Friday at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha.
The Chief Minister directed the officials of the department to speed up the work and complete the ongoing projects within the stipulated time.
He laid special emphasis on building roads while maintaining quality in road construction.
CM suggested using advanced technology in building national highways and bridges.
In the review meeting, the Secretary of the Department of Works, Kiran Gitye highlighted through a pictorial report the works of national roads and bridges under NHIDCL and the Department of Works.
