Under the “75 Seemanta Gram, Kranti Veero Ke Naam” program, the South Tripura based District Fair was inaugurated on Saturday at the Old Town Hall premises of Belonia.
Cooperative Minister Shukla Charan Noatia officially inaugurated the fair.
The fair is organised under the initiative of South Tripura District Administration and Department of Information and Culture.
Nikhil Chandra Gope presided over the opening ceremony of the fair.
Inaugurating the fair, the Cooperative Minister said, “The state government has taken this program to show respect to all the brave individuals who have sacrificed their lives to liberate our country and protect the integrity of the country. Cultural workshops, sports competitions, marathons are organised in 75 Seemanta Gram, Kranti Veero Ke Naam program of the state.”
Among others present on the occasion were South Tripura District Magistrate and Collector Saju Bahid A, Belonia Sub-Divisional Magistrate Ratan Bhowmik and Information and Culture Department Deputy Director Ripon Chakma.
