Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman has alleged that the BJP-led central government is involved in a conspiracy to cripple the All India Congress party financially ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Thus, all the bank accounts of the Congress party have been unethically frozen.
MLA Sudip Roy Barman alleged that this move has not only affected the party but also the democracy.

In a press conference organized at the state Congress office on Friday, Sudip Roy Barman said that such action was taken against the party on the issue of income tax refund.

Sudip Roy Barman appealed to the people of the state for help to continue the work of the upcoming elections.

He said, “A bank account has been opened by the Congress party for this.

In this account people of all sections are requested to help according to their ability so that the Congress party can continue its election activities.”

State Congress president and West Tripura constituency candidate Ashish Kumar Saha and Congress spokesperson Prabir Chakraborty were present at the press conference.
