On the basis of secret information, 02 successful raids were conducted, in consonance with the mandate of the Police Department to make Tripura a drug free state.
In one raid under Churaibari PS, on Dumaria, Gaya, Bihar was arrested and 25000 bottles of Phynsedyl were seized from his vehicle.
Another raid was conducted in Uptakhali under Panisagar PS area in which 4665 Bottles of Cough Syrup and 31824 Nos Spasmo Proxybon Plus tablet were seized.
North Tripura District police on Monday seized contraband items valued at more than Rs 3 crore in two separate raids conducted at Churaibari and Panisahar in the state.
In this incident, two persons were arrested. On the above incidents, 02 NDPS cases have been registered (1) Churaibari PS vide CRB PS case No. 37/2021 U/S 21(c) / 29 of NDPS Act and (2) Panisagar PS vide PNS PS case No. 95/21 U/S 21(c)/25/25 of NDPS Act and 27(b) * (ii) of Cosmetic Act. 1940 respectively. Approximate cost of seized Narcotic items is around 3.5 Crores.
Investigations of both cases are going on to arrest other involved accused.
