Cooperative Minister inaugurated 6th State Level Sangrain Festival

“Any festival is a meeting between people. Fairs and festivals strengthen our unity. The main purpose of the Sangran festival of the Mog tribal groups of the state is to bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new year.”

Cooperatives Minister Shuklacharan Noatia said this while inaugurating the two-day state-wide Sangran festival at Baishnabpur Community Hall in Sabroom on Saturday.

He further said, “Every ethnic group of our state has its own culture and tradition. The present government is sincere in the development of the culture and tradition of every tribal group.”

It is to be noted that this festival has been organized by the Ministry of Information and Culture Affairs.
