Cyclone Asani Update: Heavy Rainfall in several parts of Tripura

The effect of cyclone Asani has also started to be felt in the state.

Heavy rain was observed this morning, heavy rain started yesterday after 10 pm in several areas including the capital Agartala.

The Severe Cyclonic Storm ‘Asani’ over west-central Bay of Bengal moved west-northwestwards with a speed of 12 kmph during the past six hours and weakened into a Cyclonic Storm, the India Meteorological Department said on Wednesday morning.
