Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reviews the ongoing situation in West Asia and assesses India’s preparedness during an informal meeting of a Group of Ministers in New Delhi.
Mr Singh describes the situation in West Asia as uncertain and volatile, says India must be ready for both de-escalation and any possible escalation.
External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar, Union Minister J. P. Nadda, Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal and other Union ministers attend the meeting.
