Atleast ten residential houses and 15 shops were gutted in a massive fire that broke out at Kanchanpur market Yesterday.

According to police total loss estimated to be of Rs 70 lakh.

No casualty was reported from the incident .

Reports said cause of fire was bursting of a gas cylinder at a local shop.

The Fire Fighters accompanied by Kanchanpur Police and Assam Rifles Jawans brought the flames under control after an hour long fight.
