Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath has directed officials of different departments to ensure that all ongoing Central and State Government development projects in Dhalai district are completed within the stipulated timeframe. He also emphasised maintaining transparency and quality in the execution of works.

Addressing a review meeting at the conference hall of the Dhalai DM office today the Minister emphasized the need for close coordination between government officials and elected representatives to accelerate development activities. He said that collective efforts are essential for the overall progress of the district.

The meeting was attended by Dhalai Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Sushmita Das, Saha Sabhadhipati Anadi Sarkar, MLAs Manoj Kanti Deb, Shambhulal Chakma, Paul Dangshu, Nandita Debbarma Reang and Swapna Das Paul, along with MDCs Dhananjay Tripura, Kshatrajay Reang, Hollywood Chakma, Ismeljoy Tripura, Ratish Tripura and Rajeshwar Debbarma. Chairpersons and vice-chairpersons of Ambassa Municipal Council and Kamalpur Nagar Panchayat, chairpersons of Panchayat Samitis and Village Committees, District Magistrate Vivek H.B., Additional District Magistrates, Sub-Divisional Magistrates, BDOs and other district and sub-divisional officials were also present.

At the outset, District Magistrate Vivek H.B. presented a detailed overview of the ongoing development projects in the district. During the meeting, the Deputy Director of the Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department informed that 42,086 farmers have been registered under the PM-KISAN scheme in Dhalai district, of whom 38,677 farmers have already received benefits.

Officials from the DWS, PWD and Power departments also presented progress reports on their respective development programmes.
