Udaipur, Oct 17: The annual Diwali fair at the Tripura Sundari Maa temple in Udaipur will commence on October 20 and continue till October 22. Extensive administrative and security arrangements have been made for the three-day event.
Gomati District Superintendent of Police Dr. Kiran Kumar K visited the temple premises on Thursday to review the preparations, including security arrangements across the fairground.
Speaking to reporters after the inspection, Dr. Kumar said that, like every year, the three-day Diwali fair has been organized with elaborate planning. “All administrative preparations are in the final stage,” he said.
To ensure the safety of devotees and visitors, over 2,500 security personnel will be deployed during the fair. The security setup will include personnel from the state police, Tripura State Rifles (TSR), and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
Additionally, 37 CCTV cameras, 28 drop gates, 8 police support centers, and 10 watch towers have been installed to strengthen surveillance and crowd management during the celebrations.
