Oct 17: A woman identified as L.B. Tripura tragically lost her life in a road accident on the way to Shilachari in Karbook subdivision on Thursday. The incident occurred when a commander vehicle carrying several passengers met with an accident.
According to police sources, nine other passengers sustained injuries in the mishap. All the injured were immediately taken to the Shilachari Primary Health Centre, where the doctor on duty declared L.B. Tripura dead.
The deceased was a resident of the Notunbari Depachari area. After receiving preliminary treatment, the injured were referred to Gomati District Hospital for further medical care.
Those injured in the accident have been identified as Elion Tripura, Tania Mag, Palak Tripura, Arjun Tripura, Sayit Mag, Karmati Mag, and Hira Jamatia. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
