Drugs Worth ₹ 2.5 Crore Seized, 245 Arrested In Weeklong Raids In Tripura

Tripura police conducted seven days’ Anti-Narcotics Special Drive all over the State which ended on April 25th, 2023.

During the drive police seized drugs/items worth Rs. 2.6 Crores, arrested 245 involved persons, registered 50 cases under NDPS Act, searched over 53,000 vehicles and organised 375 awareness campaigns.

Tripura Police remains committed towards Nesha Mukt Tripura.

A Police Official informed further that more than 1 crore of narcotics items were seized and will be disposed of safely.

“We are confident of achieving our targets against drug abuse, for a Nasha Mukt Tripura,” he said.

“The government initiated a drive to make Tripura an addiction-free state,” he said.
