Edu Secy Urges More Accountability of Headmasters/Principals & Teachers for Model Pre-primary Unit

The pre-primary cell under the Directorate of Elementary Education arranged for a special meeting with all the eight district DEOs and Headmasters/Principals/Teacher-in.charges of 180 pre-primary schools, along with all the academic leaders at Pragya Bhawan Hall no. 1 today in two phases. A total of approx. 450 participants attended the meeting to overcome the problems generally arised during dealing with different matters related to Elementary Education system.

The meeting was graced by Honourable Special Secretary of education Sri Raval Hamendra Kumar, Honourable Director of Elementary Education Smt. Smitha Mol M.S., along with Honourble State Project Director of Samagra Shiksha Sri N.C. Sharma and Branch officer of Pre-primary cell cum NIPUN Tripura cell Sri Abhijit Samajpati.

Today’s discussion was made around various issues related to the funds disbursed for different purposes, Anganwadi Co-location, NIPUN Mission, Mission Mukul ground level implementation, Vidya Samiksha Kendra en all. All the aspects of above said issues were discussed during the meeting and solutions were made for implementation issues. Participants not only mentioned problems but various positive experiences were also shared by them. The dignitaries present over the meeting explained all the matters in such a way that it could be expected that from now onwards things will go soo smooth for all.

Honourable Special Secretary Sir emphasizes on accountability of headmasters and teachers towards their duty. He also mentioned that teachers must not over burden the education for a kid, but they should enjoy their journey of education. He urges to develop well communication between the principals of private schools and DEOs to minimize the gap between the schooling pattern of a private and a Govt. School. He expressed his over warmth for implementation status of NIPUN in state and also expected to get mass number of model pre-primary schools running with NIPUN Mission.

The Director Elementary Education mainly focuses on ground level effective implementation of Co-location of Anganwadi Centres and Mission Mukul. She asked the DEOs to prioritize the matter. Along with this she also emphasizes on optimum utilization of funds for TLMs and Pre-primary Kits and the practical use of those materials during classroom transactions. She answered all the questions of participants on these. It was also mentioned that though headmasters are working during noon shift but they should be chiefly accountable for complete development of pre-primary and NIPUN sector as well as the entire primary section.

The State Project Director of Samagra Shiksha today provided preliminary hands on training on the use of E-attendance system of teachers under Vidyalay Samiksha Kendra. He also discussed about the utility of E-attendance system.

Branch officer of pre-primary cum NIPUN cell Sri Samajpati announces about the upcoming publication of new holistic report card system for pre-primary kids, so that their guardians should be able to get a complete idea about the all round development of their child. The holistic report cards are being developed in line with NIPUN lakshyas. Along with this he also announced about End line Assessment Survey, which is planned to be organised in the month of June. This end line assessment survey will be conducted for class III students who were assessed during October last year through Baseline Assessment survey. So that their progress at the end of academic year could be judged. Respected Special Secretary also requested for effective role of DEOs, ISs, Headmasters and teachers during the survey to make it a fruitful event.

In today’s meeting Branch officer of Samagra Shiksha Sri Kali prasad Chakma and Sri Prajit Sarkar was also present.

Today’s meeting was a elaborate guideline for new academic year, to conduct all the matters properly as well as effectively. This was a first ever initiative by Elementary Education.
