Finance Minister Shri Pranajit Singha Roy took a meeting on 27th September, 2023 with all Principal Secretaries/ Secretaries/ Special Secretaries and Head of Departments to review the receipts and expenditure of the State Government for the 1″ two quarters of Financial Year 2023-24 as per The Tripura Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (FRBM) Act, 2005.

Finance Minister has reviewed the State’s own Tax & Non-Tax Revenue Receipts. Department wise and scheme wise receipts and expenditure against each scheme and items were also reviewed in the meeting.

Shri. Singha Roy has instructed all the departments to make the expenditure at right time by following existing rules and regulations. Shri. Singha Roy further mentioned that if some departments cannot make expenditure as per allocated fund, the budget will be deducted from those departments and will be allocated to best performing departments.

In case of receipts under Centrally Sponsored Schemes if it is less than as expected till mid of the year, the departments were instructed to take up the matter with concerned Ministries to expedite release of fund by Government of India.
