Fire Service Recruitment Candidates Protest in Agartala Over Delayed Hiring Process

On Tuesday, candidates from the Fire Service recruitment process gathered in Agartala to protest the delayed hiring of fire workers and drivers for the Tripura Fire Service.

Initially, the protesters attempted to march towards Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha’s residence but were stopped by the police. They later gathered in front of the historic Ujjayanta Palace, demanding the authorities to speed up the recruitment process.

A recruitment notice for 329 vacancies was issued in 2022, followed by physical and written tests. However, despite nearly two years passing, the final results have not been declared.

The candidates have now issued a warning to intensify their protests if the government does not take prompt action. They have also appealed to the Chief Minister to intervene and resolve the issue.
