A firecracker, and not a bomb, was reportedly burst in the gallery during a football match between Lal Bahadur and Egiye Cholo, according to police sources.

Police sources said that an initial inspection of the spot found no bomb-like or explosive substance. The sound and smoke were reportedly caused by a firecracker that was allegedly ignited by some supporters in the gallery during the match.

Following the incident, rumours spread among spectators and on social media that a bomb had exploded inside the stadium.

However, police sources have clarified that the claim was false and there was no bomb explosion.
