Agartala, Dec 2: Former MP Rebati Tripura has alleged that Tipra Motha Chairman Pradyot Kishore Debbarma is promoting the concept of ‘One North East’ due to what he described as an existential crisis within the party.

Addressing a press conference at the state BJP office on Monday, Rebati Tripura said regional political parties can never sustain permanently. “Whenever they feel it is possible to mislead people, they emerge as new political outfits,” he stated.

He further claimed that extremism in Tripura has almost been eradicated under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha. Alongside peace, he said, rapid infrastructure development is taking place and Tripura is gaining national recognition.

Rebati Tripura also alleged that constitutional rules and regulations are not being properly followed in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).
