1451 kg of dried marijuana recovered in Mungiyakami and Teliamura on Sunday

Police of Mungiyakami and Teliamura recovered a massive quantity of dry marijuana in two seperate operations on Sunday.

Police arrested three people and seized 1451 kg of dried marijuana from two cars based on secret information.

Mungiyakami Police searched a oil tanker with registration no. TRO1 AJ 1664. A total of 975 kg dried marijuana was recovered from the oil tanker.

The driver of the car, Kartik Jamatia has been arrested. He is from Amarpur.

On the other hand, police of Teliamura police station searched for marijuana in a container car with registration number WB15 B 2809 at Hawaiibari Naka Point under their jurisdiction.

Police seized 476 kgs of dried marijuana from this container car travelling from Agartala to Guwahati.

Two persons named Pankaj Roy and Lal Mohan Roy were arrested. Both of them from Bihar.
