The cabinet on Tuesday decided to appoint 7 doctors including a neurosurgeon at GBP Hospital.
This appointment will be made on contract basis. Minister Sushant Chowdhury announced the government’s decision after a cabinet meeting at a press conference at the Secretariat on tuesday.
He said while addressing a press conference that there is a neurosurgeon at GBP Hospital at present. The cabinet today decided to appoint another neurosurgeon.
He said 2,525 patients have received medical services at the Neurosurgery OPD from 2019 to September 25, 2021. Of these, 459 have been successfully treated, is a significant achievement in the field of healthcare in Tripura.
In another important decision, Chowdhury said, the state govern ment revised the pay structure of the regular faculties working in Re gional Institute of Phar maceutical Science and Technology (RIPSAT) as per the recommenda tion of the Seventh Pay Commission.
