The Governor of Tripura, Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, listened to the 135th
episode of Mann Ki Baat by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at the Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS), Khumulwng.
Following the broadcast, the Governor interacted with the students and
enquired about the key messages they had gathered from the Prime Minister’s
address.
He elaborated on the themes highlighted in the programme and encouraged the students to imbibe the values and ideas shared during the interaction. Among
those present on the programme , District Magistrate and Collector of West Tripura
Dr. Vishal Kumar, West Tripura District SP Namit Pathak, Additional CEO of
the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC); along with teachers, students and other officials.
The Governor also inspected the Eklavya Model Residential School and visited the classrooms, library, hostel and other facilities to review the academic and residential infrastructure. Later, Governor visited the Roshni Mahila Cluster Bahumukhi Samabaya Samiti Limited at Mohanpur, where he interacted with members of various Self-Help Groups (SHGs). The President of the Roshni Cluster Level Federation briefed the Governor about the cluster’s activities, products, achievements and future objectives.
As part of environmental conservation efforts, the Governor planted a tree
sapling on the premises of the Roshni CLF. He also visited the bamboo production unit operated by the Dipabali Self-Help Group and appreciated its members for promoting
local entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Subsequently, the Governor visited the residence of Sova Debbarma at
Keparam Para under Purba Noagaon Gram Panchayat in the Old Agartala RD Block.
During the visit, he interacted with her and enquired about the progress of her
ducklings project. Smt Debbarma is among the beneficiaries who had received
ducklings from the Governor during a ducklings distribution programme held at Lok Bhavan.
