Health camp organised by Ashrampara UPHC on World Hepatitis day at Nagerjala Bus stand

World hepatitis day on 28th july has been observed in tripura to create awarness about hepatitis infection and how to manage cases and prevent transmission.

On the ocassion few initiatives were taken by Ashrampara UPHC under West Tripura. Screening for Hepatitis b and hepatitis c infection was done mainly among the drivers at Nagerjala Bus stand. MO incharge, councillor of AMC ward no 33, doctors and paramedical staffs were present.

Free of cost investigations were done.
Leaflets regarding prevention of hepatitis were distributed.

Apart from Hepatitis screening, screening of non communicable diseases like Hypertension and Diabetes was also done. The beneficiaries were provided free medicines. Free spectacles were also distributed to eligible beneficiaries by the PHC.

Apart from this, pregnant mothers were also educated about hepatitis infection and importance of hepatitis vaccine and prevention of vertical infection to children.

Such health and awarness camps are frequently being organised by Ashrampara UPHC to ensure overall wellbeing of concerned locality
