Nilima Ghosh, the Chairperson of Tripura Commission for protection of Child Rights (TCPCR) resigned from her post on Friday and handed over the charge to her successor Himani Debbarma.

Nilima Ghosh explained to the reporters that everyone has to retire someday during the period of service and so she also retired from the post of Chairperson of TCPCR according to the service protocols after completing 65 years of age.

She added that her resignation has nothing to do with any sort of politics. She clarified that she already completed her period of service for which she is retiring from the position.

Nilima Ghosh further thanked all her colleagues and the administration for the support and cooperation during her service period.
