Information & Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury visited Covid-19 vaccination centres in Vidyapith Higher Secondary School, Belonia Higher Secondary Girls School and Arya Colony Higher Secondary School in Belonia sub-division today.

Along with him were, MLA Arun Chandra Bhowmik, Chairman of Belonia Municipal Council Nikhil Chandra Gope, President of health-related Standing Committee of Belonia Municipal Council.

Anupam Chakraborty, President of culture-related Standing Committee Biswanath Das, Chief Health Officer of South Tripura district Jagadish Namah and District education Officer Lakshman Chandra Das. The Covid-19 vaccination drive for youngsters of 15-18 years started throughout the state yesterday.

During his visit, the Minister said, the state government has taken special initiative to vaccinate 2 lakh 13 thousand youngsters of 15-18 years among which already 42% of them have been vaccinated.
