India’s first hydrogen train saves over 3,200 litres of diesel in first 1,200 km of operations

India’s first hydrogen fuel cell train, flagged off between Jind and Sonipat on July 17, has travelled more than 1,200 kilometres in its first week of operation, saving over 3,200 litres of diesel while emitting only water vapour, according to the Ministry of Railways.
