Internees of TMC are going for strike

Internees of Tripura Medical College are going for a strike from September 24 for an indefinite period.

There are about 82 internees of Tripura Medical College.

The administration of Tripura Medical college (TMC) has been preparing an emergency plan to maintain regular health services.

The strike is organized for hike in monthly stipends as the internees of Tripura Medical college (TMC) draw only Rs 12,500 per month, even as the internees of Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) are given Rs 18,000 per month

Many demands were made from different batches of internees didn’t hike their stipends.

In the notice the Principal said that “the attendance of the internees should be maintained properly” and also instructed all concern to lend extra helping hand to the hospital authority to maintain service level.
